However, there is much that can be done to promote a healthy full-term pregnancy; by seeking regular prenatal care visits, and following doctors orders in which I did great during my first and second trimesters. Complications didn’t arise until my third trimester. It is important to eat and maintain a healthy diet, which is a part of my current lifestyle, and also managing chronic conditions that would increase the risk of pre-term births such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity.
