This year, we’re coming back together with projectsweetpeas to bring a little extra love, comfort, and nourishment to the families at Sentara Northern Virginia NICU.

Our first NICU Awareness Month stop was one filled with so much love! 

We were honored to kick off the month at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, where we served 5 NICU families through our Bee Nourished Initiative, alongside beautiful Project Sweet Peas care packages. 

Each family received thoughtful goodies, snacks, wellness items, resources, and a reminder that NICU parents deserve to be nourished, supported, and cared for, too.

We were especially fortunate to deliver to 2 families in person. Being able to meet them, share a few words of encouragement, and personally hand them something prepared with love made Delivery Day even more meaningful. 

And this is only the first stop! 

We are so grateful for every partner, donor, volunteer, and supporter helping us make this month about more than awareness — but about showing up for NICU families in tangible ways.

One family. One bag. One act of love at a time.

The Bee Nourished initiative was created to remind NICU parents that while they are caring for their tiny fighter, they deserve care too. These bags provide families with quick, easy-to-grab snacks and hydration while they spend long hours at their baby's bedside.

For a NICU parent, the days can feel long, the nights even longer, and sometimes the simplest things—something to eat, a moment of comfort, a reminder that someone cares—can mean everything.

Through this special partnership, we are honored to provide 100 NICU families with:

• 100 Project Sweet Peas NICU Awareness Month Packages — created to bring encouragement, comfort, and support to families navigating their NICU journey.
  
•  100 Bee Nourished Bags from The Forever Jewelz Foundation — filled with snacks and healthier options for parents who spend countless hours at their baby’s bedside.
  

Because the baby in the isolette isn’t the only one who needs nourishment. NICU parents need to be cared for, too. They need to know that while they’re showing up every day for their tiny fighter, someone is showing up for them. 

We are deeply grateful to samsclub for helping make Bee Nourished possible and to Project Sweet Peas for joining us in creating a moment of comfort for these families.

 We are SO happy to be able to serve 100 NICU families during NICU Awareness Month!

Today, we dropped off 200 bags at Inova — including 100 @projectsweetpeas NICU Awareness Month bundles and 100 Bee Nourished food bags filled with snacks and nourishing options for NICU families. 

Being able to pour back into families who are navigating the NICU journey means so much to us. Every bag is a small reminder that you are seen, you are supported, and you are not alone.
