~NEC Society Patient Family Advocacy Summit 2026~

  Still reflecting on such a beautiful and unforgettable experience at the NEC Society Patient Advocacy Summit. 

I was incredibly honored to be invited to attend the NEC Society Patient Advocacy Summit and to sit in a room filled with advocates, parents, healthcare professionals, researchers, and changemakers who are all inspired by the same goal and united by the same purpose: to build a world without NEC.

There was something so powerful and heartwarming about being surrounded by people who understand the urgency, the heartbreak, the hope, and the importance of this work. Every conversation, every story, and every connection reminded me that we are stronger when we come together.

This experience was especially special to me. It gave me the opportunity to learn, grow, share, and connect with so many incredible people who have become more than colleagues in this journey — they’ve become friends and part of a community that I know will last a lifetime.

I’m leaving this summit with a full heart, a renewed sense of purpose, and even more determination to continue advocating for NICU families, raising awareness, and honoring the babies and families whose stories brought us here.
