March for Change Recap
Capitol Hill | March 25–26 | Washington, DC
These past two days on Capitol Hill were nothing short of powerful. Walking into rooms where decisions are made that impact moms and babies across the country felt deeply personal for me—not just as an advocate, but as a NICU mom, a loss mom, and the founder of The Forever
Jewelz Foundation.
This experience wasn’t just about policy—it was about purpose. Every conversation, every story shared, every step taken was rooted in love, loss, and the unwavering belief that families deserve better support through every stage—prenatal, postnatal, and everything in between.
One of the key bills we advocated for was the Healthy Start Reauthorization Act. This matters to us because we know firsthand that there is a gap in care that still needs to be bridged in our communities. Access, education, and support should never feel out of reach for any mother or baby.
I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside so many incredible women and meaningful organizations who are all committed to the same mission—healthier moms, healthier babies, and stronger communities. The connections made and stories shared will stay with me forever.
Although my time was cut a bit short, this experience left a lasting mark on my heart. It’s one I will carry with me until next year, as we continue to fight the good fight for the families we serve.
This is bigger than us. And we’re just getting started.
